Ink Ace: a sky arcade paint dogfight
Checked 5 November 2026. Rank 1 on this propwash. Free browser play — no store rating invented for this card.

What holds up
Ink Ace opens mid-flight. A red biplane is already banking over islands, and a paper rival drifts into the nose line within the first breath. Hold to spray paint; a hit pops a colour burst and a TAG cue. That is the whole tutorial. The sky arcade loop is steer, paint, survive — not a menu of modes.
The risk curve is honest. Dense packs are where chain tags live, and they are also where a wing clip ends the run. Golden Ace targets pay fat scores but fly aggressively. Close passes flash a bonus without pretending you are invincible. Session length on a clean propwash check sat roughly in the eighteen-to-forty-second band for a focused run, longer if you ride Rainbow events without greed.
Presentation stays light: sky gradient, distant islands, scarf and prop wash, paint particles that read at a glance. Missions and skins exist, but they do not gate the first playable second. For a sky arcade shortlist that cares about hooks, that matters more than a feature checklist.
Where it frays
Near-miss bonuses on pure dodge routes are rarer than tag chains — if you hunt CLOSE! flashes as a primary score plan, the build will feel stingy. Birds and peaks share silhouette space with rivals on busy frames; the fail is fair once you learn the shapes, but the first collision can feel sudden.
There is no public install counter and no store histogram on this card. I did not invent either. The build lives at /play/ink-ace/ on this domain. If you need platform badges, this is the wrong desk.
Who it is for
Best for paint dogfights with chain tags — players who like free flight more than lane constraints. If you want a landing deck or a chimney lob, look at the other two ranks on this sky arcade propwash instead.
Propwash verdict
Ink Ace keeps the number-one slot because the first tag teaches the verb and the fail state stays readable. Strengths outweigh limits for a short browser session. Re-check logged 5 November 2026.
